Help Support the CFTRE

The CFTRE works around the world in helping to reduce the impact of trauma on people and their communities. We train counselors and other professionals in under-served countries (such as those in Africa) in how to work effectively with trauma. In so doing, we believe that we are helping to break the cycle of violence that has its roots in traumatic experience and is often passed down through the generations when this trauma is not effectively addressed.

The CFTRE is a registered Canadian charity (897972915RR0001) authorized to issue receipts for income tax purposes. Donated funds are used to support our teams which are sent to these places as well as granting scholarships to worthy individuals in Canada and abroad who would not otherwise have the means to access this education. The CFTRE also has research goals that will be accomplished by these funds.

The lack of social relationships constitute a major risk factor for health, rivaling the effects of well-established health risk factors such as cigarette smoking, blood pressure, blood lipids, obesity, and physical activity.
